See attached the press release . This is going out today , but I wanted the board to get it first. Thanks
to Eric and TPL among others for their help in pulling this together. I
am really excited to bring this to our communities. The first round on
Community Forests and Wayfinding will be a terrific sharing from two
other Maine Communities as well as putting faces to Denise Devoe Hazeltt
the new representative of Northern Forest Center in Millinocket and
the champion of the regional Wayfinding project. MIke Smith from Outdoor
Sport Institute has kindly agreed to moderate all three panels. Eric
and I will both be at each session helping set up ,take down and take
notes. Elliotsville Foundation will be sponsoring this first one
with beverages , snacks and accommodations and meals for the visiting
speakers. This is much like when we invited Karrie Hamblen to the region a few years back if you recall . I
am hoping that you ,local board members, will chose at least one of
these panel discussions to come to ,so we can get names and faces out
there in the community to reflect who the KTP is right now. Please let
me know which Discussion you plan on attending and if you can help with
either set up or clean up , usually just arriving 15 minutes early and
staying a few minutes late. At least Patten and East Millinocket sessions will be on ZOOM as well for those of you outside of the region. Thank you Susan
